(Physics For Everyone Heat Motion In Hindi) by ल. लन्दाऊ (Lev Landau); अ. किताईगोरोदस्की (A. Kitaigorodsky )

We have tried to write this book in a light and simple style, not denying ourselves the pleasure of an occasional joke with the reader. But this does not in any way mean that our Physics for Everyone is an easy book. Many of its pages must be read attentively for a long time; in order to understand physics, one must very often think hard and tensely.

The book’s main concern is the fundamental laws and concepts of physics. However, we have tried not to forget about illustrations from life and technology, true, not having the aim of dealing in any way with the inexhaustible field of applied physics.

কাশতঙ্কা (Kashtanka In Bengali) by অ্যান্টন চেকভ (Anton Chekov)

Kashtanka by Anton Chekhov is a short story that follows a dog named Kashtanka, who is separated from her owner and ends up in the care of a new master, a man who works as a circus performer. Throughout the story, Kashtanka experiences confusion and longing for her original owner but gradually grows attached to her new life, learning to perform tricks. However, when she unexpectedly reunites with her former owner, the bond between them is no longer the same. The story reflects themes of loyalty, adaptation, and the emotional complexity of relationships, illustrating how circumstances can alter even the deepest of connections.

Makarenko, His Life And Work (Articles, Talks and Reminiscences) by Anton Makarenko

Anton Makarenko’s book “The Road to Life” has been read by millions of people in 54 languages. In the Soviet Union along it has run into eighty five editions totalling two and a half million copies.

The name of this distinguished educator, who broke new ground in pedagogics, is familiar to the English reader. Translations of his book “The Road to Life” (in three volumes), “Learning to Live”, and “A Book for Parents” have been published by the Foreign Languages Publishing House in Moscow.

The object of the present book is to acquaint the reader more fully with the life and remarkable work of this Knight of Education.

The volume is in two sections. The first opens with a short biographical sketch of Makarenko by Academician Medinsky, a leading personality in Soviet education. This is followed by stories and reminiscences by people who knew Makarenko closely — his wife and great friend Galina Stakhiyevna, the colonists’ patron Maxim Gorky and numerous ex-pupils of the Colony, themselves the chief characters in the books “The Road to Life” and “Learning to Live”.

In the second section Makarenko speaks to the readers himself. He discusses his pedagogical experience and practice, gives his views on education, quotes numerous interesting examples from his own practice, gives advice to parents, and answers questions from listeners and readers.

This collection, based on the numerous publications dealing with Makarenko issued in the Russian language, has been prepared for the press with co-operation of the late Galina Stakhiyevna Makarenko.
