Discovering Russia People And Places ( Impressions Of The USSR) by Jay Higginbotham

Jay Higginbotham’s book, Discovering Russia: People and Places, is based on conversations, discussions, and interviews with men and women the author met in the Soviet Union in 1986 as he made his way from Nakhodka to Minsk. The topics are wide-ranging—social, political, cultural, historical, and international—but the focus is on the individual, his attitudes, assessments, and opinions.
Jay Higginbotham does not impose his views but lets the reader draw his own conclusions about a people and a country that are little known to many.
