After some wait, finally got a new book shelf. Books are still not arranged in a proper way. All due to my procrastination. Books have been just brought out of boxes.
The last one is the new one!
Each shelf has atleast two, sometimes three of four layers of books…
And yet I need more book shelves, as books always keep coming towards me…

I find the photographs, beautiful. I am just curious to know, what percentage of science books published by Mir has been digitised and available at your site? I guess, you have over 50%. Mir had also published Engineering and Medical books. It will be better if these books are digitised too. Other Russian publishers, such as Raduga and Progress, came with Social Sciences and Sports books. I feel, they too should be digitised. Our ultimate aim should be to digitise all the books, magazines and journals published in USSR in English and other Indian languages.

Yes. That is the goal Awani, to digitize all books. Unfortunately what I have, and have access to is only a part of what exists. nd that is mostly books on science and mathematics, with little of politics and philosophy. This is a collaborative effort, it is just that I have put my 2 cents in it. Hope that we are successful in this with help from all people who are sympathetic to our goal.

I think all my hardwork for searching the “mir treasure” paid off at last. I was searching http://gen.lib.rus.ec/ when i saw “Мир” in the publishers list. I matched with the sign and found out that word means mir.
so, go to above site, choose publishers then type “Мир” in search box and click search. All you have to do now is to learn russian for having the knowledge from mir. You can go for :- Russian for dummies

Actually I am thinking of scanning many books till July this year. Till now, I have scanned 12 MIR books, but except 2 (which I have posted already), I have not created cleaned PDF (with same original layout, page size & exact cover size as published by MIR) file as it will take some time. (Otherwise, I can’t avail those many no. of MIR books till this July). I hope you understand this.
I have scanned “Water treatment” book. If you want it urgently, then, I will post cover + scanned images, but these images are in grayscsale & fit for reading only & not printing. Please let me know. Cleaning & converting them to PDF will take some time.
Also, if you have the cover in the copy you are having, it would be grateful.

They are digitzed already. If you mean physical copies, you can try online book stores. We don’t sell them. Or if any other visitors have them they can contact you.

Hello everybody. I HAVE this two books that i would like to CHANGE:
* Problems in calculus of one variable – I. A. Maron
Condition: Very good condition
dust jacket: very good condition
* Problems in Geometry – Modenov
Condition: good condition
dust jacket: good condition
(And some others books like: Algebra – Litvinenko, linear algera – Poznyak, Complex Variable – Tikhonov, Geometry and Topology(course andproblems) – Fomenko, etc)
I would like to change one of them for this book:
* Linear Algebra and Multi-dimensional Geometry -Efimov Rozendorn.
I would like have it at least in good condition with a dust jacket in good condition.
Or if you have that book (and you wanna keep your book) WITH A DUST JACKET (at least in good condition) and for you dust jacket is not so important, We could reach an agreement.
