Yes, this is a feature of Internet Archive, it also OCRs in other Indic scripts like Bangla, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada. I was not able to find any commercial software which does this. There are other packages like tesseract which can extract the text from an image, but they can’t embed it back in pdf. This is a truly great feature at IA!
